This is a Special Limited Edition for Seiko to collaborate with the 40th anniversary of the TV broadcast of the Super Space Fortress "Macross", this special model is based on a diver's watch-like bezel model with a theme design inspired by the color of the Valkyrie "VF-1S", the Spacecraft piloted by ace pilot "Roy Fokker" in the animation series.
The "skull mark" that belongs to "Roy Focker's" Valkyrie "VF-1S" could be found near the 6 o'clock position. At the edge of the dial, a yellow "power bar" is shown up to the 8 o'clock position, together with the "40" marking on the bezel, representing the 40th anniversary in mind.
The "Earth Joint Forces" mark is placed at the 9 o'clock position. The back cover is engraved with the "Macross" 40th-anniversary logo and serial number as well!
